Why is REDUCATO so much needed?

Canada’s recycling problem is very complex. The amount of solid waste in Canada and worldwide tends to grow as the population grows and daily life activities expand. Changes in consumer behaviour shifted toward online shopping and food delivery, increasing solid waste. For example, about 86% of Canada’s plastic waste ends up in a landfill. And yet, some people still think that pollution is not their problem. Many Canadians are still not aware of the solid waste consequences on the environment.

The current situation increases the need for an innovative educational resource that can improve the recycling problem in Canada and teach Canadians how to become better at recycling.
